PROJECT
STRENGTHENING Native Wildlife Populations.
Rebuilding Aotearoa’s most vulnerable native species.
A Lifeline for Native Wildlife.
The Willowbank Foundation works to strengthen and grow populations of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most vulnerable native species — both within the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and across Canterbury.
From kiwi and takahē to whio and pāteke, our projects support hands-on conservation through breeding programmes, habitat restoration, species advocacy and partnerships with conservation organisations, iwi and community groups.
At the heart of the Foundation's work is a simple belief: conservation must extend beyond the reserve to support healthy natural habitats where wildlife can live and thrive in the wild.
With your support, we are helping protect endangered species, restore balance to our ecosystems and secure a stronger future for New Zealand’s unique wildlife.
