PROJECT
The FUTURE of Native Wildlife Care.
Wildlife Care, Conservation and Learning in Canterbury.
Advancing Wildlife Care and Conservation.
The Willowbank Foundation is committed to strengthening wildlife care and conservation support across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region.
Our native wildlife faces increasing pressures, and injured or endangered species often rely on specialist veterinary care and rehabilitation to survive and return to the wild. Through partnerships with veterinarians, wildlife experts and conservation organisations, the Foundation aims to support and enhance the care available for native species across the region.
By helping provide resources, funding and collaborative support, the Foundation works to ensure wildlife can access the best possible treatment, rehabilitation and recovery pathways.
Beyond direct care, this work also supports conservation education and community awareness, helping people better understand the challenges facing Aotearoa’s native species and the importance of protecting them.
Together with our partners and community supporters, we are helping strengthen the systems and expertise that give native wildlife the best chance to recover and thrive in the wild.
